About me

Experienced, professional and approachable.

Why choose Perdy Maternity Care

I believe in empowering families with clear, honest information so they can make the choices that feel right for them. The information I share is up-to-date, evidence-based and aligns with national guidance. One of the joys of private care is the time that families can take to ask questions. Through unhurried, one-to-one sessions, I help you feel informed, prepared and confident.

Whilst for many women a group class might be their first choice, I am here for those women and families who want:

  • a more tailored approach, so that we are able to focus on what relates directly to you, giving you time to go into detail about the things that matter most
  • continuity of support with a practicing NHS midwife, with the knowledge that I am available postnatally once baby arrives
  • flexibility when choosing sessions at dates and times to suit them
  • sessions delivered one to one online or in the privacy of your own home

If this sounds like the kind of support you're looking for, I'd love to help you prepare for birth and early parenthood. Explore my packages and stand-alone sessions to find the option that's right for you, or get in touch if you'd like to discuss your individual needs.

My background

I am currently employed as a clinical midwife in a busy London teaching Hospital. I trained at Addenbrookes Cambridge University Hospital (First Class degree), and I then worked at Addenbrookes ('The Rosie') from 2023 to 2025 before relocating to London. At the Rosie, I completed the Enhanced Maternal Care training programme which developed my clinical skills thereby enabling me to care for more complex cases. While in Cambridge, I was invited to address a group of Dutch midwives attending a conference, the subject being my experience of working in continuity of care. I was subsequently invited back to give talks in Amsterdam and Groningen. At this time, my article on Low PAPP-A and screening in pregnancy was published in the Practicing Midwife Journal (link). In 2025 I relocated to London.

Before deciding to train as a midwife, I did a BA in History of Art followed by an MSc at the University of Edinburgh. I also spent a year working in Nepal and returned to volunteer in the largest maternity hospital in Kathmandu.

Over the last few years I have cared for women on high risk labour wards, low risk birth centres, antenatal and postnatal wards, and high dependency units. I am used to caring for women whose pregnancies are complicated by pre-existing or pregnancy related conditions, as well as women who are considered low risk.
